UNITAC - Hamburg is looking for a Data Scientist for the project "Just transitions in vulnerable places - Towards Inclusive, Smart, and Resilient Urban Recovery" in Ukraine.

Selected candidate will contribute to the development of digital urban data platforms and support government institutions to improve and contribute to the smart urban recovery of the Ukrainian communities affected by the conflict.
Main tasks will be linked to the applied research and development of sustainable
technology and data solutions for cities in Ukraine and the partner organisations UN-
Habitat and OICT.
These solutions will be implemented and tested in the Ukrainian context,
focusing on post-war recovery. Your focus will be on the three thematic areas:
1. open, transparent, and participatory management of data and digital platforms
2. mapping, spatial analysis, data analytics and visualization
3. people-centered smart cities
Selected candidate will work in an interdisciplinary team of urban development, innovation, and technology specialists with a passion for sustainable cities, international development cooperation, and digital innovation.
